The Vision

ATLAS was created from a simple belief: true artistic growth happens from the inside out.

Created by choreographer, director, and mentor Talia Favia, ATLAS is a submission based experience designed to bridge the gap between the studio and the professional world. It exists to develop not only skilled dancers, but confident artists prepared to build meaningful, sustainable careers.

Built from Talia's experience across concert dance, film, television, live performance, and education, ATLAS mirrors the realities of a professional creative process. Here, dancers are challenged to think beyond technique, strengthen their artistic voice, and grow through mentorship, creation, and performance.

Rather than simply preparing dancers for their next opportunity, ATLAS is designed to equip them with the artistic, personal, and professional foundation to navigate a lifelong career in dance.

Inside A T L A S

ATLAS is a six-day, submission-based experience held each summer in New York City for dancers ages 15 and older.

Throughout the week, dancers train with world-renowned faculty, work directly with Talia Favia, receive one-on-one mentorship, and engage in guided Mapping sessions designed to strengthen both their artistry and their sense of self.

As the week unfolds, the selected dancers become the cast of an original theatrical production, experiencing the pace, expectations, and creative process of building a professional production in New York City. Through rehearsals, direction, creation, and performance, they gain firsthand insight into the artistic and professional standards required to build a lasting career.

The experience culminates in ATLAS LIVE, where the cast brings the week's work to the stage before a live audience.

ATLAS isn't just designed to prepare dancers for their next audition.

It's designed to prepare artists for a lifetime of meaningful work.
